    if you want to do it without model swapping you would have to edit the m2 file itself. all the animation data is stored there. the dbc files dont do anything but referance that information. Im not having anyluck with it. I can convert the file to other formats. I saw when looking through it in mdl format that the base animations look the same just more added in the new files. I also found a program that can combine animations to one file. but the conversion is still giving me trouble. i cant get it back to m2. my converter crashes. I'm not sure what im doin wrong and the poeple who know how dont like to tell. apperently hacking is ok just not model hacking. so I hope this helps some.

    i was looking at the worgen. I see the new model has tons of animations. where the old barely any. I opened them both as an mdl and the animations from the old model still looked the same in the new file. bone referances looked the same. there were just more animations. so if you combined them and brought them back into an m2 file i think it might work. it might be more involved than that but i wouldnt think it would be easier than making a model from scratch. im not gonna spend the time trying if i cant even bring the model back to an m2. there would be no point. hope this is useful to someone.

    seems like it doesnt work. i changed my character model with a model from 1.8. i just get a black screen in the character login screen.

    Wouldn't it just be the movement animations that you would have to slow down?
    Or what.. Since in the old version the reason it looked so cool was cus U had hte points in speeded up, so it was using the normal "stealth run" looks, but cus it was speeded up the feet couldn't follow the speed (I.E. u get the gliding kinda performance) and I agree, it looked cooler, bump.
