    Texture Question

Alright, for the most part I understand how to model edit and swap things around, but some thing seems to have me stumped at the moment.

When I use the BLPConverter.exe to convernt blp's to png's sometimes they don't work properly. I have some pictures of what I'm talking about, but what really gets me is that Photoshop can't seem to get it right, but MSPaint can! Since when is Paint > Photoshop?!?

Any suggestions on how I can get photoshop to open these png's as clear as paint seems to be doing?

    Thanks for your help.

This is what happens when i try to open some of them in Photoshop

    And this is in Paint

    Re: Texture Question

What I do, although you have to be a bit attentive to detail, is this...

instead of right clicking and 'extracting' the .blp, I just save it as a .tga with the "save image" button that is in the window...but I also uncheck 'enable blend' esp if it's cutting out some detail in the picture (this also might have to do with the version of MWCS I'm using...who knows)

you should get a .tga you can edit in photoshop just fine...
there's also a link somewhere around here to a tiny little java program you just drag a png to and it pops it back to .blp in the same folder the png is in...

    good luck.
I generally find going from .tga > .png > .blp gives me no trouble.
