Spell swaping via DCBs?

Anyone know how to swap spells via DBCs, not the m2/skin in 4.0.1? I had crashing problems with Spells.DBC, SpellVisualEffectName.dbc looked promising but to no avail.
Anyone got any ideas?:confused:

Been playing around with DBC edits and I haven't gotten any positive result at all. I didn't exactly get any crashes, but I simply got no changes at all.

I'm currently extracting all of the spell.dbc, editing them, keeping all from different MPQs, I need some testers later to test it out. cbf testing them out myself, so whenever I finish, I'll pm or post here some of my edits on a fixed spell; say Wrath to Lightning Bolt.
