How do I undo the model edit?

Basically being extremely inexperienced with model editing I followed this guide :

    http://www.mmowned.com/forums/world-...race-race.html

I accidently completely overwrit my Patch-2.mpq (I renamed but proceded to save over it under the same thing I renamed it as. Aswell, I tried to gender change from Female to Male UD but failed.

On top of that the model-fix.exe file did not work properly (something about it being for another patch) So I have a .mpq with the wrong files on it and this is the result (MY CHARACTERS REAL FACE IS NOT THIS UGLY:

When I see anyone in Patch-3 gear they have cubes for shoulders/heads.

I've deleted all programs and files associated with the model edit attempted. I tried deleting every patch + WoW.exe and running a full repair without success.

I've deleted the game and reinstalled, this also did not fix the problem. The problem is in the files inside one of the patches. (I think)

Again reinstalling and using the repair tool both did not fix the problem. Please help, I do not want to edit my character's model anymore.

Delete the downloaded patch(mpq) from your wow/data folder, and all should be normal again, if the downloaded patch(mpq) is gone, then you've patched over it, and need to repatch/reinstall wow. (wow merges mpq's when patching, thats why you need to reinstall/repatch), if this did not work, then you haven't reinstalled proberly.

Delete patch.mpq > then run repair tool

Also delete that downloaded MPQ else it won't do anything...

You need to install wow completely because you adjusted patch-2.mpq, so no mather what you do you need to completely reinstall wow to get rid of those errors.

And I find it hard to believe that you deleted the game/reinstalled and still got those errors, because what you got is an client error so if you resetted it properly it would go away.

I have reinstalled completely and its still happening. I've done all the above suggestions. I have found that when I search for .blp on my computer it comes up with a long list of scourge-female.blp files, Ive deleted them about 20 times and emptied from the recycle bin. Now windows can't find their location but they are still in my search and can't be found for deletion. How on earth do I undo all this BS?

    Delete the patch.. simple as.

If you actually edited a core component (Patch-2/3) then that was a really dumb thing to do.

If you actually did edit one of the core data components I suggest downloading a new one.. as repair will probably try to retrieve corrupted files or something similar to that.

Deleting BLPs located on your machine has absolutely nothing to do with fixing what's inside an MPQ component. At all.

Oh, nearly forgot: If you've got more than one wow directory on your machine, check the other one and delete any custom patches in that.

If you're accessing WoW from the start menu or from your Desktop it's likely that you confused the directories, and are trying to delete something not relevant to the particular client.

Stating the obvious - that it was a dumb thing to do - in no way helps the situation I'm in.

I deleted the patch. Atleast 5 times. I've reinstalled now a total of 3 times. Nothing appears to be working. Please refrain from being completely uncongenial. Accessing WoW from the desktop wouldn't "confuse the directories"

I know it seems as though I am pushing away the "help" but I've done all these things. Nothing is working.

Now the helpful thing you did say was to "download a new one" where would I find this? Trust me I've searched.

I was refering to a possible confusion of different copies of WoW on your machine. As if you're accessing WoW from the desktop or from the start menu, you're not exactly picking up on which particular copy of the Wow client you're running.

Luckily one of the administrators from my native server's forum (Not to be mentioned) has uploaded a complete client download.

This is a direct link as to keep external sites out of the question:

    http://crayner.khell.org/torrents/da....3.5a).torrent

    It's 16.6GB fully.

Patch mirrors can be found on WoWWiki if you dont want a whole new client

Borrowing your thread Rogstic since I have the same problem.

When I removed the 3 patch.MPQ's and repaired, patched up to 3.3.5 and logged in the 1st time my char looked normal again, but once I relogged it turned back again.. so I'm still stuck.

Going to try download the complete client now and see how it goes, I've removed all files connected to World of Warcraft.

EDIT: ok, the downloaded client didn't work for me since it was US :P But what I did was I made sure I had all World of Warcraft files and related files removed before I reinstalled the game, works fine now, models are back to normal!
