Nogg-IT Shadows/Water Problem menu

    Nogg-IT Shadows/Water Problem

    What the title says, I'm having extreme difficulties with the shadows and water in NoggIt. I understand that they're buggy and may not work but it's strange to see this in game



    As you can see from the picture I'm editing Arathi. With Taliis I use the "Shadow Remove All" option and then Replacement Tools "Kill all shadows" and it still shows up.

    Stromgarde has the two ponds in the front and a large part of the sea in the back that has disappeared. With the water I know how to add it but, it just won't show up in game.

    Also, the ponds outside Stromgarde are difficult to add water because if you do the water becomes and overflow.

    *EDIT* Checked out the forums on Shadows and now I know, still need help with the water though.

    Actually I have a larger problem at hand. It seems now that I've extended my editing and adding more wmo's, when put into a patch, in game many of the wmo's are gone anyone else have this problem?]

    When I try to move wmo's or scale them in noggit, they disappear ingame, how did you fix it?

    I no the problem, World of Warcraft uses 2 types so shading: Shadows and non shadows. They use it to help express the mood of the area. Shadow Problem Do this: Go into the adt in noggit and save the adt,when you reload after the save the shadow should show up in noggit. Then save one more time and and reload and shadow will be gone. Disappearing objects do this: Open the adt with taliis and then choose option Save as and then just click on the adt so it writes over it and when u put in a mpq your objects will be there and your shadows won't. Rep if this helps, i'm having trouble deleting wmos right now myself, if anyone knows wat my problem is. When i delete in taliis, it still shows up ingame. Ty

    This is a bug with the latest revision and it's no longer being updated for wotlk, so I either suggest you back to work with the TBC editor or might develop the software a bit more to fill your needs.

    A tips is to use raise tool with 0 speed on a large area, then save in both Noggit+tallis and then reload it.

    Don't worry guys. Noggit is now kinda under devlopment again. The missing doodad bug got fixed and right now steff is working on a solution of the shadow problem.A new revision will be public soon if it got tested enough and the mein problems are defeated. The water Problem though , will remain in the next revision because this is not so easy to solve.
    To trick this problem: before you save an adt with noggit , open the nonmodified adt of blizzard with taliis and use the edit->water->export to png function.
    Now you can play around with noggit and save the adt. As you have to save the adt anyway , just use the edit->water->import fom png function. You now have a good chance to have your water ingame like it was before.
