[Question] MPQ file with edit but in MWCS its blank

Hello there,

I wanted to combine 2 MPQ's so I wanted to extract them with MWCS. But one of the MPQ's are just blank when I opne them so I was not able to extract them, can someone help me pls ?

Wanted to Combine NeF -> BeF: NiF to BeF.mpq

hope someone can tell me how to get the files out of this NeF -> BeF MPQ

Post a screenshot of the mwcs window with the file opened. I believe I know what your problem is but no use in explaining if it isn't.

Ah in that case I have no idea, try to use ladik's MPQ editor.

Ok tired it now 5 times and everytime the model is just one big crash :C

Maybe someone else can try to combine them ? Don't know how to make a .MPQ with the ladik's MPQ editor.

I just used it to extract the things and combined them in MWCS.

What you're missing is the 00.skin file.

Model edits are very sensitive. One upper-case letter wrong, a number wrong or just a skin can and most likely will mess up something.

ok tried it 6 times now with the 00.skin file in it but it's still the same thing

Need some help, I think I'm not able to do this by myself or alone -.- did it now 15times or more tried many things etc and it just not worked, best I got was Nightelf Model with Bloodelf Skins t.t (that happened because I forgot to remove the hairstyle change mpq, after removing this it's still the same crash thingy ;((

Heck I dunnow what ya trying to do, but you do realize you need to swap the following 3 things

-M2
-BLP
-00.SKIN

M2 is for the model, BLP is for the textures and 00.SKIN is for the texture coordinates.

The reason why your model is like in exploding mode is because it doesn't have the 00.SKIN file that coordinates texture points. Swapping a night elf skin file with a blood elf isn't helping in the nearest thing because a night elf maybe got like 1000 coordinates while the blood elf only got 800 if you know what I mean.

I know what i have to do but it's not working and I did many modeledits before.

As mentioned above in my first post I want to combine two modeledits, first is NeF -> BeF
And than The Hairstyles and Haircolors. In one I want my Nightelf to be an bloodelf chick with this stylish hair from the Hairstyle edit.

So I have to take the M2 from the Hairstyle Edit and put it in the NeF -> BeF edit, same with the Haircolors.

Did it many times, everytime model looks like my screen above, its just crashed
