I there any project for a program to convert the new MDX3 files used by SC2 into MDX2.2 files used by WoW (WotlK) ?
Some Zergs in WoW would be tehepic

Don't know of any, but someone manager to convert WC3 files back and forth.
Also is SC2 even 3D ?

No, there is no converter yet and possibly won't ever be. There is a libm3 in the working as well as a converter to obj files tho.
