Importing objects into WoW? How?

See, I started out by trying to import some items into my Private Server, because I could spawn barely anything (certainly not enough to count useful, like for building a town). A friend told me all I needed to do was open WoW Model Viewer, find the object I wanted (like beds, doors, stables, stuff like that.) and simply export it as a .obj and then put it into Navicat. Then after that's done, I could go ahead and .go spawn in the game.

But.. Obviously this doesn't work, or I'm not doing it right. So can anyone tell me how to put these objects into my server, so I can start building?

And if this thread is already up, I apologize for this thread. I searched for about an hour, and underwent several viruses, and found no thread pertaining to this question.
