[HELP]MyWarcraftStudio MPQarchive problems

So I just started working with MWS and I followed this guide

Anyway I was creating my MPQ file and when I add for example skins from TILESET in the common.MPQ file that I edited to my MPQ file, they don't show up in the containing list to the left.

I tested to add edited files from extracted maps instead and it worked, but they don't work as a real edit so when you login everything is the same.

So I need help adding edited files from common.MPQ to my MPQ file.

not sure what your trying to get at soo....


1) go to pack menu and create a new mpq in MWCS
2) use MWCS to extract your blps to soemplace easy (desktop)
3) in MWCS go to edit mpq archive (you cannot add files in view mpq archive mode)
4) go to pack and go to add file to archive
5) int he window that opens, browse to your blp you extracted
6) input the correct filepath into the little menu in MWCS using \ and not / of course (case sensitive)
7) hit ok, MWCS will add the file to your archive in the filepath you gave it
if filepathi s wrong,left click to select the file in the list on left, then right click and rename, re-input the correct filepath and hit ok (you will get error messages as it deletes unused folders int he mpq)

Thanks this solved my problem. My conclussion is that the guide contained some minor flaws that misslead me.
