Tauren Model Editing Request/Help!

Hello, I've been browsing and searching these forums for quite some time and have been looking for a model edit for my male Tauren. I came across a few tauren to bloodelf conversions. So, I tried downloaded them, put them into the DATA file under patch.mpq things and loaded WoW but it always comes up with a critical error. Saying that the file is 'corrupted.' I even ran the model editing through the MCPTR.exe and it still didn't work. Please help? I've tried several different model editings, what am I doing wrong?

you put the edit into your data folder with any other MPQ?... wut was it named..... cuz that might be the problem im not sure tho

Ok, to clarify, what I did was: Put the file in the data folder and rename it to patch-#.mpq

Also, although i did try BE i was more looking for a Tauren to Undead conversion.

it should be named patch-4 or patch-c. any number or letter.
