Area and world changes in movies?

Hi mmowned.

Just let me present myself fairly quickly. My name is Alexander Egeskog, and I'm a machinima producer. Right now I'm planning a new storyline movie with Focus Filmworks, and we're trying to make a movie that won't be forgotten within weeks.

The reason why I am saying this, is because I've been looking through these forums lately, and there sure is some talented people around here who can edit the world of Azeroth in an extremely professional way. You have probably allready guessed that I'm interested in using fan-made world changes in my upcoming movie.

My question to you is: Am I allowed to take released areas from here and use it in my movie? I can't really contact the authors of the areas, since I wasn't allowed to send PMs. And if I am using it, what do I have to do in order to be allowed to do so, and release it on WCM and probably other sites? Who should I credit? Etcetera...

I'm sorry if this is the wrong section, but I didn't find a more fitting place. I hope someone can give me a proper answer to this. There's so little map changing in the Machinima world, and we sure could use some more!

Well, I think, that most Modelchangers would like to see their Changes in Machinima, but you should ask them(per PM if you have enough posts/in their threads while not).
If you use their Areachanges, add the Name of the Author to the Credits or Thanks-List.
(For Example, Asgard made a movie with my Elwynn-Christmas Change, and he quoted that in the movie and in the description: Winter Night By Asgard - World of Warcraft Movies )

edit: Unfortunately, I don't have a chance to credit everyone in the beginning, only the end credits, as my movie won't be focused on the map changes themselves. It will basically just be a nice add to the movie. I'm sure people will agree.
