How to apply skins to the game?

Hello, i am new here. Yes, i am a noob when it comes to model editing, lol. I downloaded an .mpq file that changes the skins for gnome males. Where in the wow directory do i look to add it, or apply the reskin? Any tips? Thanks

an .mpq goes in the data folder i believe you will most likely need a ME fix/bypass

Thanks, but do you know if theres any tutorial or anything, like a thread for beginners or something? All of this makes no sense to me lol
