This is very very weird.
I have been using model editing programs for quite a while now, just for simple edits so i can play as a Human Female since i like the stance.
Last night before 3.2 went live, i thought id remove the wowme.exe from my WoW folder, (dunno why, just always do) and after getting my last peice of t8.5 last night i decided that i would rather pay £12 to play a female human 'legally' since i didnt want to run the risk of getting banned while i feel like ive achieved quite a lot and so i did, lunchtime today. anyway.... i removed the wowme.exe and went to bed.
Came back from work today, installed the patch, went into my WoW folder and grabbed the 'Launcher' made a shortcut to my desktop and loaded wow. I noticed that my character was still female, i thought that perhaps the customisation had allready happened, but i didnt specify anything! Weird....
So i thougth about it for a while... then it hit me, i hadnt removed the 'Patch Z.MPQ' from my data folder before running the 'Launcher'
So... i removed it and loaded wow again with the launcher and bang, i was human male again, still with no customizable options.
Now, could someone else please try this to see if it works? put some charctaer changing MPQ into data folder, remove wowme.exe from WoW folder and run WoW with the 'Launcher' from WoW folder.
Not sure whats going on really, but perhaps blizzard implemented something in 3.2 today that allows models to be changed on wow with the original launcher, thus catching us model changers out = Banfest?
Im still awaiting customisation option that i paid for today.
Could someone try this out and get back to me.
Peace.
