    How to edit hairstyle shapes?

Hello all, I've been working on some editing, and I'd like to work with a hairstyle. As such, I'd like to ask for some instructions on how to get to a hairstyle in a 3d editing tool. When I open up humanfemale.m2, it shows every hairstyle at once in a huge mess of dots and vectors, so I have no idea how to do this.

    It's because it doesn't exist ( I think )

But the way to edit m2 is very known now, thought it's not working the same way with 3.X
I don't know how to edit M2 in 3.X sorry but you can easily change the color of hairs or maybe you want to switch your race's hairstyle with other race ? this thing could be possible but I'm not into it right now

No, I've seen an edit, ScDK's female blood elf to be exact, where he slightly changed the shape of several hairstyles to look more natural. Obviously to do so one would have to have waded through the jungle of vectors, and I'd like to know how.

well you could write a tool to extract every mesh alone, so you can easily edit only the hairstyle(every hairstyle has one or more geosets).

Can't help with such edits, that could take a lot of time and more as nobody has already give you what you want
Why don't you just ask to the guy that makes this possible or seems to have made this possible ?

Hmm, is that so... drat. I was hoping such a tool already existed somewhere. Such a task is beyond my meager abilities.

And what about DBFilesClient\CharHairGeosets.dbc ? you should make your own test you know :/
If you want something just keep trying, and if such a tool exist it just means that we don't know where it is

Like I said, my abilities are meager at best, a mere beginner to this whole model editing business. One of my custom helm edits succeeded, but mostly by dumb luck, and even editing textures causes me confusion from time to time. I wouldn't even know how to work with such things like those DBC files.

Geez... you know that's the same for everyone, if you want to be better you must try you'll go from rags to rich if you're not too bad :c

There's the geoset stuff that could be useful but never try it out so we'll see that tomorrow

With DBFilesClient\CharHairGeosets.dbc you can add extra hairstyles yep. But you'll also have to edit CharSections.dbc.
But you would not be able to activate these Hairstyles on Blizz Servers(on Private they work!).
I have postet my copygeoset-Tool on this forums once, so you would be able to add an hairstyle to an existing model.
http://imagr.eu/upload/tigurius/WoWS...509_152545.jpg <- there I've added an hairstyle to the worgenmodel.

None the less: this is a little bit harder then normal model edits, so you might not succeed.
