So just to clarify, if they are scanning for this particular model swap or if its detecting the wowme program to make the swap possible? If its just this swap, couldn't we change the chips to something else? or is it just going to notice any change to that object regardless?

I would reccomend you don't download it, warden now scans this file. Changing it to something else wont work, it's checking to see if the chip file is as it should be, anything else and you eat the banhammer.

It is using a scanning method similar to that of many PC game discs which check to make sure the game security has not been tampered with pre installation. though i dont see why mmowned shouldnt be able to cook up some sort of object tracker to track everfrost chips. if used with WOW HD to increase loading distance possibly a scanner to telly ou relative direction to you of nearest shard?

Just use "Mr trackit by Nesox" to find everfrost chips... can be found in bots & programs
