First time model editing, can anyone confirm I'm doing it right?

I know everyone hates newbies and whatnot, but I've been reading these forums for a little while and decided now I want to try some model editing.

I'm going to do some of the more simple stuff.. I'm going to do a race switch and make all my gear look different. I just want to make sure that I'm doing everything right and won't cause any red flags to go off for Warden or anything. (Since we don't really know exactly what it does)

So I've got Glitchy's Model Editing Suite, and Kynox's Model Edit Fix for patch 3.0.3. I believe I've got the gist down of what I'm doing, but it's never really clarified anywhere exactly what to do. At least I can't find it if it is.

So anyways, I put Kynox's MEF .exe file into the wow folder. I know I run it and hit F8 at the login screen once I'm ready to do. That part is simple enough.

Not quite sure how to use glitchy's MES though. Does it have to be in the wow folder, or can it be anywhere else? It might be possible for me to answer this question if I tinkered with the program a bit, but after over 3,000 hours logged onto the various characters on my account, I kind of want to play it safe and not screw anything up.

After I mod things with Glitchy's MES, will it make EVERYTHING look different? Like say I make a random green sword look like Apolyon. Would ONLY my sword look like that, or would others that have the same item appear to have an APolyon to me? I don't think so, but I can't be sure. Same goes to races. If I change myself from say a Night elf to a Tauren, would all Night Elves look like Tauren to me?

Also, what should I do about the scan.dll sitting in the wow folder? I read some people talking about deleting it, but in the MEF and MES tutorials nothing is mentioned about that file. Do I just ignore it and they programs deal with it?

My final question... in the off-chance I get banned, do you think Blizzard would ban all my accounts? To play it safe I'm going to do model editing on my second account first that doesn't have anything real important on it and created a whole new wow folder just for model editing shenanigans.

Thanks a million in advance for any help.

We do know what warden does.

You will not get banned for model editing - You will get banned for model editing and exploiting with that model edit and getting caught.

Glitchy's MES can be installed anywhere.

When you swap a weapon, everytime the game will load that weapon, it will load the new one. Meaning if someone else has the same weapon, its going to look like the new one you have edited.

It's a little bit hard for me to explain because I'm not english but I'll try

Glitchy's MES is simply a program, you don't need to install it in your wow folder

The way a model editing works is pretty simple: when you log into your account, wow must load a lot of files (your night elf skin for example) but when you do a race swap, you are only changing what files must be loaded.
So imagine that the file called "Night elf" have in his directory al lot of files such "nightelffeet, nightelfface, nightelfbody etc). If you do a race swap you change the files in the directory so your "Night elf" files will be "taurenfeet, taurenface, taurenbody etc). This is a simple way to explain how it works so it's just easy to understand that every night elf in the game got the same files so EVERY night elf in the game will be loaded as a tauren.

Ignore the scan.dll, your wowme.exe creates another file because you hit f8, that scan.dll.new says to wow to not load the scan every time you log in.

I will try to explain what should be bannable and what not.
Bl1zz want to ban only who can get an advantage on others players, if you want to see your night elf as a tauren, you don't get any advantage.. and I think you must be reported to have a chance to be banned.
Warden is an internal wow program who scans your folder in search of any bad program like glider or something similar: it allows you to kill mobs and loot goodies even if you are not playing, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
Another way to get banned is to model edit something like: see every stealth as a red glowing light or pass through the doors/walls etc.
Your race swap should be safe and remeber to always search a new wowme.exe every time a patch is applied because it won't work if not updated
