I have a patch put in, in such form

Data Folder >>> Patch-C.MPQ

I start WoWME up and click F8, nothing happens. My character looks the same

Naming it to patch-3.MPQ may also help, never heard of renaming patches to letters tho.

all you have to do is make the P in Patch a lowercase p.
for an MPQ to work it has to be in the format of patch-x.MPQ (P and .MPQ case sensitive)
where x is a number from 1-9 or a letter from a-z.
