    Vocilizations...

ive been working on edits for a good while now (~4 months?) and have been doing fine in everything, besides character sounds. Now its getting annoying when i have a blood elf making dead sounds, or vice versa. However, the way the sound folder is set up in common.mpq is really... wacked.

    Sound/Character/Scourge/ScourgeMale (my main is undead)
If i place any other races files, completely renamed, into this same folder system in any patch-X files i have, nothing happens. Ive been trying this for almost a week, and finally came here wondering why sound edits wont work.

    Example :

Sound/character/bloodelfmalePC has files named (such as) BloodelfmalePCattackA, when i change this to the undead male version
ScourgeMaleAttackA, it wont work. It still plays the scourgemaleattackA file...

i expect this might have somthing to do with undeadNPC in the scourge folder, did blizz make the undead PCs play NPC sounds?

Just wondering why i cant get it workin ;\

    Re: Vocilizations...

I just got NightElf to Undead attack sounds to work, and I did it the same way your talking about except I used the PlayerExertions directory. I exported the Sound/Character/PlayerExertions/UndeadMaleFinal and renamed all the files from UndeadMalexxx.wav to NightElfMalexxx.wav and put them into a new .mpq and set up the directories the same way, Sound/Character/PlayerExertions/NightElfMaleFinal and it worked just fine.

The regular grunts/moans during combat change, but the voice overs don't, the one's that say 'out of range' or 'not enough mana/rage'. I looked all over that Sound directory in common.mpq and couldn't find anything that even remotely looked like they were the files for those sounds. If any of the pro's know how to change the voice over sounds and not just the attack sounds, please let me know.
