Problems with My Warcraft Studio

I got My Warcraft Studio (Vista fix) and I tried to make a area edit but I can't view .m2 files everytime I click on them My Warcraft Studio stops responding and closes. Does anybody know what I can do to fix this problem or know why it happens?

Reinstall or download an older or newer version and see if it works. I don't use vista but I noticed a difference in how my old MWCS read models with skins and my new one doesn't. I'm no computer wiz but that's what I'd do.

I don't use vista, but I had a problem about not being able to view the model at all, though no crash problem. Simply changing the file to .M2 from .m2 worked for me. Try it and tell me what you get, I'd like to know too. ^.^

*edit* I forgot the version number, but I'm using the most recent version.

If the suggestions above don't work, try MPQ Editor. You can't view models in it, but My Warcraft Studio was never good at that anyway. MPQ Editor is much more stable.
