Tauren hooves -> NE naked feet?!?

    Hi,

i tried to change a Tauren female into a Nightelf female. It worked fine, but the feet of the NE are always naked. I guess this is because shoes arent displayed on the hooves of the tauren. Does anyone know how to fix that?

I`d also like to know how to change the sound files. I read many of the guides in the other forum, but none mentioned anything about the sound.

    Thank you
    Soul

In regards to sound file swaps, check under the guides in the guides post, they have my sound guide in there. In regards to the shoes, im not really quiet sure how you would do that, besides maybe a dbc swap, which is a lil advanced.

Re: Tauren hooves -> NE naked feet?!?

Thanks for the answer. I tried and looked through various .dbc

    CharHairTextures.dbc and
    CharHairGeosets.dbc

seems to only contain info about the hair style and texture.

CharSections.dbc - SkinParts for the body

My best candidats so far are

    CharVariations.dbc or
    ChrRaces.dbc

But i have neither any idea what the different data fields mean, nor how to figure that out.

I looked through nearly all guides postet here, and even found some threads where exctly the same question was asked. But so far no solution for the "naked-feet" problem has been posted. Although many people think this kind of change is possible.

There is a program at http://www.wowmodelviewer.org/ in which you can choose to display the texture of the boots on the feet or not, for all races. This makes me pretty sure, that it can be done. I even downloaded the source of this modelviewer, but i got no clues from it so far.

So, PLEASE, if you know how to make the boots display right after a race change (e.g. Tauren -> NE), let me know. I think you would make many people very happy.
