    [Question]Itemcaches

I've been thinking about this for a while. Does every WoW/account-owner have it's own itemcache so that I can't copy other guys cache?

Every user gets their own itemcache and items in it are what you have seen (by inspecting, trading, linking or whatever) but you can still download other people's cache without harm

If you have never seen a SWP item or been there then it's normal, it's to avoid data mining

    Hey All,

so I myself have been interested in doing this and have decided to do so =)

so my question is similar to Racks. I was wondering can I use this itemcache for the dragonstrike ~> Warglaive

(*edit* had a link to it but can't since i dont have 3 + posts)

and question to Forever (or whoever) after downloading that gentleman's new cache... what do I do with it? I tried searching for a How To... and couldnt find it.

Can someone direct me to one that shows me what to do after getting a request (or getting someone elses since thats okay right?) model swap?

    thanks in advance

You need to use your Unique itemcache. As it has the items your using in it.

    hehe so it seems >.<

Just did a quick search and read some guides before posting this. The armor/weapon guide seems like everything I would need to change it our myself huh? It seems that I would need 3rd party software... which is cool.

I guess my question is, do I need some type of 3rd party app/software to acquire my item cache? and if not, how do I acquire it?

C:\program files\WoW\cache\ etc should be around there. And if you upload and include

ITEM YOU HAVE to ITEM YOU WANT

Most people will do it for you.

awesome! thanks Merfed + rep for the info

I'll be on later this evening with those cache's!

so here is my understanding (final):

    1) C:\program files\WoW\cache\ etc
    2) Find the Item I Have
    3) Find the Item I Want
    4) Request here by attaching both Cache's
    5) Some friendly peer would do it and attach new cache's here
    6) Download and Paste into same folder
    7) Play wow and be happy

    sounds easy!

    Here is it even easier:
    1) Upload itemcache.wdb from your cache folder.
    2) Make a thread here saying [Request] Item X to Item Y
    3) Download the itemcache.wdb a nice person provides for you and put it in cache folder.
    4) Be happy and play
