I'm guessing that .MPQ requires the MEF which he can't use because hes on a mac. He has to upload his item cache.
Only way known to change animation is by altering the RACENAME.MPQ-files, which you can fix with Glitchy's wonderful program "Glitchy's MES".
Though you'll need the Modeledit Fix.
itemcache.wdb - FileFront.com
Here is itemcache.wdb
And no, you guys are wrong, Macintosh doesn't NEED MEF because Macintosh doesn't have WARDEN. therefore all MPQ edits work 100% of the time and there is no need for MEF.
this is also why there is a 0% chance of blizzard catching you using any cheat programs with a Macintosh (warden doesn't exist on it) but Apple puts a special 'barrier' around all of the programs, so if you were to breech the 'barrier' to let another program latch onto it it would become very insecure. Which is why there is no WoWEmuHacker for Mac.

Cool tip, although I don't think model editing is monitored by warden. I think its part of the blizzard code. I guess you could use the .MPQ if you could get it working.
I did a quick search, heres a discussion about model editing on a mac. Follow the directions the guy posted: http://www.mmowned.com/forums/model-editing-questions-requests/93049-mac-model-editing.html

Thanks for the rep. I'll try reposting the link: http://www.mmowned.com/forums/model-...l-editing.html
Hopefully that will help you. I can't try it myself because I don't have a Mac and I'm not positive if this information is relevant to your situation, but there it is.
The only difference in Mac model editing is the Case Sensitivity that you have to have for everything like the .MPQ has to be capitalized or it won't work. otherwise it's exactly the same.
Ok I took a look at that thread, but I still don't see how to change the animation so it actually shoots the bow?
Actually thats the same on windows now too.
Also, I'm not exactly sure how to do animations on Mac, I just thought the general idea may help you. I usually use Glitchy's MES or My Warcraft Studio, but they are both .exe. I can try making you a patch tomorrow with one of these and seeing if you can use it, but I am busy tonight. Maybe someone else could also help you.
EDIT: See if this changes how you shoot

I both googled and searched these forums to try and find the animation files... Only thing I got from these was something about .m2 (from glitchy's?) and stuff about WoW model viewer. Google got me nowhere.
