[Release] Emerald Dream 4.2 (14333) Cataclysm

First of all, whatever you do with this, don't blame me if you get banned, the risk is really high if you use it on live servers


Ok well the file I will post replaces Deepholme map with Emerald Dream, you'll still be able to see the NPCs from Deepholme

First you have to to deepholme and mount on your fly mount. If you dont do this, after placing the MPQ you will fall and die, its not a big issue but the spirit healer is underground so ye you will keep falling down.
After exiting your game, put this file into your wow/data folder.
Now you have to patch your launcher so it loads the file, use this to do it (check all the boxes and click apply).
If you log in now, You'll be in Emerald Dream but you wont see the real textures. Go to your WTF folder and open the Config file with notepad, go to the bottom and add theese 2 rows:

SET ffxDeath "0" 
SET ffxGlow "0"

You still wont see all the real textures but if you dont do it you'll only see green glowing ground. I couldnt find a better way to turn specular lighting off, would be awesome if someone posts something better.

Oh and the map isn't the real map of the emerald dream, it was made by someone who wanted to recreate the emerald dream

Edit : i did try but i'm still in deepholm..
Did everything you said and encountered no error :/ (enGB client playing on french live server)

what kind of error do you get?


Edit: ok i found it, the file name is wrong, sorry! Rename the MPQ file to wow-update-base-99999.MPQ and it should work


And about the map, I couldnt find anything better hehe

I didn't get any error, it was just not working, i was in deepholm

Great release, it sucks doing this with scholo since you can't fly hence not possible to access some places.

Maybe you can get something similar working for Azshara crater.
