[WIP] Custom model: Gnomish Handgun and Draenei Shield

Hey all!
My first post here. I've made a custom 3d model with texture based on a concept art i found on the net. And this model I then imported in to WoW, changing the starting weapon of the dwarf hunters to mine.

Sadly, the model is proven to be slightly incorrect for the weapon holding of the dwarfs (probably every other race aswell) but in action, it not noticable.
If anyone is interested in the model, and the texture I'll upload it later on.

There are two pictures I added. The one with the guns shows the two guns I've made. The one with the green things on top looks alright in the hand of a dwarf. The other one was a test, nothing "cool looking" on it.
And there is the draenei shield I made based on a concept again. There are some issues on the shield model, which I already fixed.

The screen shots were of course taken on live realm.

Don't like the gun that much but the shield... THE SHIELD LOOKS AWESOME.

I must say, i'm amazed, as I am everytime someone makes a custom model that looks great If you ever feel like doing some serious modelling work, you can join a project i'm hosting

Klein~: Thanks! I'm working on another gun again. This time, I'll model it in a way, that it fits in to the hands as much as any other wow gun.

By the way, all the models are suitable for the wow engine. Which means they are about 500 tris (as any other weapon in wow) and the texture size are varying from 512*256 to 512*512. Which are again, the same as any other wow item. So using these models wont slow down the game, since they are the same in every aspect as any of the other ones. I'll probably upload the ones you are interested in.

I'm planning to make a lot more items, like daggers, swords, or even shoulders. So keep an eye out for this thread

Make cloaks if you can! Cloaks seem to be the least created models.

Dagger of <Insert random badass name here>!
Its still wip. It looks a bit different in game then how I'm working with it, so it surprised me how it looks on the login screen... So I need to work some to get the same look which I was after. Also the textures are not final, I'll try and make it more interesting.

So the dwarven gun is complete! I throw together an icon really quickly for it. I swamped a crossbow to the gun, so it fires arrows at the moment
There is an upcoming one handed axe, which I already started.

On the first picture to the right, there is the gun in 3d studio max, and below that the wire frame of the model, showing that it really is wow suitable model.
