    [WIP][First NoggitEdit]Por-ah Island

    This is my first work with Noggit and I've encountered so many bugs, but now it's beginning to look good.

    Por-ah Island is a tauren island in the south seas of Azeroth.
    Unfortunately the edge aren't "islandish", but
    I'm a beginner so I rather focus on making everything on the island fit the theme.



    Progress so far.




    * The center area, a hill where I placed the main huts, is almost finished. I need to fix the shading problem
    that has been occurring and
    I need too spawn some stuff from Nodxt.

    * Central area finished apart from adding Nodxt. Working on pond and waterfall area and
    fixing skybox.



    FORMER ISLAND HAS BEEN REMADE, BUT THEME STILL STAYS.

    Really nice there zantas! Could improve by reducing the hardness of the road; make it look older, with dirt looking as slowly covering it. Also would be nicer if u add some dirt beneeth the rocks so there is less contrast or u add some grass doodads in front so it looks more natural. Also the cliffs could do if they were not single textured. Add something interesting to it so it doesen't look so dull; like stripes in the rock where dirt managed to settle or places where mud slimed on the cliff during heavy rain. +Rep

    Very good for a first! I agree with Xel though, the rock m2 looks out of place (and perhaps the trees as well, but that's preference I guess). Texturing could be a little more variant but looks good! Keep working at it zantas

    Updated with new pictures of progress!


    The stone doesn't seem awkward in game and it's a specific stone from Mulgore so
    it fits the theme.


    Anyhow I'm having trouble finding any totems at all. Seems they either vanished or are always a part of
    a wmo, hope someone can share a light on this matter


    Seems I have to re texture it again ^^

    I'm liking this progress to far. It's pretty good for your first edit. But I'd like to highlight some things..

    Really nice there zantas! Could improve by reducing the hardness of the road; make it look older, with dirt looking as slowly covering it.
    This is very true. Try your best even to make the road smaller, you would never really see a huge road like THAT leading to a village at the top of the hill.

    As for the cliffs (The bright texture) try to mesh it with a dirt-like texture, or a rock-like one. and lower and heighten some certain parts (Like bumps)

    Good luck on the edit. Coming out good so far.. How I long I could do this again..

    Really like what you got so far I have a suggestion though, maybe you could use part of that wall in the beginning tauren place to block off the sides of the hill? that would look cool

    I like the big rocks, but perhaps you could add some hanging vines to them or something, or retexture them.

    As for totems, check in World>Generic>tauren>passive doodads>totems

    Also, I'd check out the tauren canoes, lamposts, and walls in there.

    How did you get Nogg-it to even work? Every version of nogg-it I've tried, crashes. What version of Wow are you using? Obviously doesn't work with 3.3.2, or 3.2.


    I'm even willing to go back in time if needed, I just need a world editor to function properly .

    You are probably using Windows 7 which is the real problem Noggit indeed works with 3.3.2, but not as well as it does with 3.2.2. It's a lot more unstable :\

    Get a better computer.

    Im on my laptop right now, and it crashes when i try to go anywhere.
