Hey guys, been looking at model editing since it seems to be a dead scene and nobody is doing anything anymore, so I decided to learn it a bit and try my own stuff.
After figuring out that model edits still work on patch 5.2 (live servers) I ventured forth and tried to make (what is my favorite model swap so far!) and succeeded! If there's still people like me looking out for model edits, or if for some reason this business comes to life again, I shall more cleanly edit it and add for more races (I have not tested it with Incarnation, and I believe if you do use it that the skin wont show correctly, but it's fixable just taking some more work). Some people might say why not release something that works 100%? Well frankly I don't know if people still want these things, I personally use it and just decided to share it. But fixing everything and adding more races requires ALOT more work so I will only do that if there's more requests for it.
Edit #1: Just did some finishing touches on the file and should no longer be any problem to have different hair color or use incarnation (but it will not show any different model, as far as I know). This will change all the tauren druid catform's into fandral fire cat and should no longer show glitched textures on some hair colors.
EDIT: NOW WORKS ON PATCH 5.3!
So here's a screenshot I just took showing the model:

Required files to download:
- Patch sig-md5 Protection Remover (EITHER 32bit or 64bit version!):
See:http://tinyurl.com/wow-exe-info-dl << Link will redirect you to the latest version!
HORDE | Tauren:
- MPQ file: wow-update-enGB-20000.MPQ - Speedy Share - upload your files here
How To Install:
- First off all download every file, for the patch protection remover pick either 32bit or 64bit version based on what WoW version you use. (if unsure pick 32bit)
- Extract that ZIP file of the Patch Protection Remover and do as the readme in it says, extract it in your World of Warcraft folder and replace the old Wow.exe (DO BACKUP IT!)
- Now the protection will work, next you must grab the MPQ file and go to your World of Warcraft directory and place it in Data\{locale}\. (locale = enGB/enUS or whatever you use)
- Once the file is in place EDIT it if needed (it's set on enGB, if your folder is enUS or different then change the file so it's correctly saying YOUR locale).
- DO NOTE: If you already have a filename exactly the same as this one then change the last number to something higher.
