Hi guys, this is my first post so don't hate too much.
Well I've seen a few post about water not showing up or disappearing after editting an area with noggit, so I'm gonna show you how to keep the water there.
Problems this will fix ((v 3.3)):
--Water not appearing after injecting it correctly via Taliis
--Water appearing but doodads are gone
--Doodads appearing but no water
--No water at all
**This is NOT adding water, it is keeping the old water there with custom maps.**
Programs needed: Taliis, Noggit, WoW 3.3, MyWarcraftStudio
1) Use Noggit to make your perfect map.
2) Use MyWarcraftStudio and open up WoW\Data\Patch or Patch-2 Then go to the bottom and click show only .adt files from the scroll menu.
3) Find the same ADT(s) of your custom area and extract them to a folder.
**Optional** Rename all of your Noggit ADTs and put something on the end so you can distinguish them from the original. So like this...
Azeroth_10_10.adt >>RENAME>> Azeroth_10_10n.adt I use n for Noggit
NOTE: Only rename your Noggit version!
4) Use Taliis and open up your Noggit'd ADT and the original ADT.
5) Make sure to click on the original ADT, then edit > replacement tools > Inject Heightmap, Alphamap, Doodads and for source select your Noggit ADT.
6) Save your original ADT into whatever folder you saved them in before and use MyWarcraftStudio to pack the ADT into your custom patch.
7) If done correctly the original water (Like a pond, ocean, lake, whatever) should still be there while your custom land and objects are there AND VISABLE as well.
