So, iwe just started making my own custom edit, and after some painfull hours of getting maya to (finally) work i started playing around with it. Im far from any kind of expert and at most know one tenth of all those fancy thingys you have at your disposal in maya, anyway. Here it is. Feedback and Constructive critisims is appriciated.

Just at first glance I'd say you've used far, far more polygons than necessary for an ingame weapon. Blade looks nice, handle not so much. I'd try tying it into the rest of the model's design rather than just 'oh hey I need a handle too right?'

The part of it near the handle looks a little too rounded for a dagger, could be just me though. Other than that, I like it! =D

I think it looks kinda neat. It looks like it has a pig-tail sticking out the back end of the handle though ~ Maybe you could make the base of it look a little more thin and blade-like. Other then that, just a resize of the handle and maybe a new texture, but I think the wooden look is fine.
