[WIP] Armored Dragon

This is my first 100% freehand texture I'm doing. Since I lack a tablet(D, I'm doing it good ol' fashioned style with pencil and paper, then scanning it in. Once I'm done with the wings/tail/spines, I'll start coloring it in with photoshop. Not sure what flight I'll make him though, was thinking blue. And now, pic(s):

Looks cool. And I admire the fact that you're doing it freehand.
I would suggest sorta like the infinite dragonflight, so it looks like Deathwing.

If you want to make it armored id advise u do some modification to the polys so it actually has a shape. You can use Glitchy's MES to extract an obj from the m2 and shift things around in 3ds to give it a shape and then texture it accordingly. Im guessing such a process could be a little difficult but maybe you can get Goshujinsama to assist you.

Meh, I don't really wanna fiddle with the model to much, this is more seeing how well I can freehand.

But yeah, still need some more feedback on the color scheme before I move on to much.

i think it a bit too bright. maybe darken the blue a bit

The scales look good, but the rest of the blue is too bright. Kinda hurts my eyes. :P

As said before me, try to darken the blue abit. And that yellow is little bright too, it should be more "gold-ish" IMO
But vey nice work! Too bad, i got to spread :-/

I changed the color to a more aqua/black thing, I think it looks better. Let me know what you think. If you guys like it I'll make the the scheme for the rest of the dragon.
