    EZ model edit way...

kk there is a easy way to model edit that will make it just as easy as it ever was in old patches/versions. It takes a bit tho. All u gotta do is this:

1.Install WoW again (old disk, no BC) *NOTE: you wont have to keep it on ur comp, just belive me*

    2. There are 2 ways to do this:
1.Copy all the .mpqs to another folder such as 'OldWoWMPQs'
2.go to an uploading site and Upload all the MPQs in packages
(this helps if u want to share the MPQs with MMowned)

    3. Open up MyWarcraftStudio (older verion will work)

    4. Save the new MPQ archive in a 'model edits' folder*

    5. When u want to use you can do 2 things:
    1.Make Speech.mpq or speech2.mpq or somethin **
2.Convert it into an addon thing so u can keep in ur addon's folder***

    6. There you go!!!
    _________________________________________________________________

Now you are done u can delete the nwe WoW, but make sure to keep the MPQs if u put in a new folder.

*make sure u can keep track of what moedl edit it is (for example, name it: 'DbeartoBE' (which stands for Druid Bear to Bloodelf))

**sometimes the speech2.mpq works, and sometimes it doesnt : / dont ask why

*** im not sure how to do this, but i will try to get my friend to tell me
I hope this helps, it might take a while, but it DOES work, just think about it

    bye bye: :icon_headbang:

Ugh, what he's saying is that you need to make an extra Data folder, edit the MPQ / Create a new one, and Convert it into an Addon File..

I have no idea how to convert them, but I reckon it could work.

    Re: EZ model edit way...

a .mpq and a .xml are WAYYYYYYYYYYY DIFFERENT. i dont see this working at all. to my knowledge, xmls dont hold files (and i used to "work" with xmls in my xbox modding days). unless xml's got changed to hold files, this wont work.

Only way i know is that he model edited all the WoW interface into a custom theme, and somehow he converted a MPQ into a AddOn file (i dont know all the names for files), but anyway, he diffenitly did model editing to make it :/

    Re: EZ model edit way...

I don't think this is what you think it is. People use XML files (Aka Interface) to make, ya know, interfaces. anything on Curse is a folder you put in your AddOns folder, which in turn holds XML files. I think he just modded his interface and thinks it's model changing. It's not. Unless I'm not getting something here.
