Here is a quick guide on how-2-item stack in the 2.4 ptr.

first take one of the bags that you carry and fill it up with only gear, then go to your bank and take one of its bags and empty it all out make it empty.

Now drag the empty bag over your bag full of gear

then that bag should have swiched with your bag of gear and your stats went up.

now drag the empty bag(now on your bag bar) over to your gear bag(now in your bank), and your stats go up, and repeat till you get as high as you want.
