As I haven't seen this guide around (and some random guy asked for it), I'm posting it here.
I take no credit for this guide, this guide has not been cheated off some random site, it's completly free and as I'm such a "honest" person, I decided to share this free information of mine. This guide is overall amazing and has helped me level 3 of my alts to 70. Here goes
What?
Braxxis' Levelling Guide. It takes you from 1-58 as fast as humanly possible.
Why use this particular guide?
The author reckons it's several hours at least faster than Joanna's guide, and unlike Joanna's it's totally free.
The interface is very nice as well - it uses a map add-on to overlay waypoints on your map, so you don't have to alt-tab and read a block of text to figure out where to go next.
Is it a speed guide?
From 1-60, yes it is.
The quests are organised very efficiently. You almost never go to a new zone without at least one quest to hand in when you get there. Sometimes you're encouraged to die and spirit res to hand in quests if it's faster than walking back.
At 58 the guide recommends you go to Outland. There are waypoints for the Outland zones but they aren't nearly as well-tuned as the Azeroth ones. It's not clear whether they will ever be, either, since the author is (unsurprisingly, given the number of characters he's levelled) a little burnt out on WoW by now. But the TBC zones are much better-organised for efficient questing anyway, so hopefully it won't prove too much of a problem.
How does it work?
I'll quote the author:
Are there any downsides?First off, you need to delete anything you currently have regarding MetaMap. All your folders in your addons folder, all your Saved Variables files.
Next, you need to download THIS version of metamap: http://www.ageofrebirth.com/VinceStu...tamapMario.zip which has a single file edited by our own Mario to fix some bugs regarding this guide.
After that, you need to download this file: http://www.ageofrebirth.com/VinceStu...MetaMapEXP.lua You will need to right-click save-as that link, otherwise it ****s up. I don't know why.
Take that file. Put it in your World of WarcraftInterfaceAddonsMetaMapCVT folder
Log into WoW
Open your Map.
Click the "Options" button.
Click General Options/Help
Click the Modules tab
Check all those boxes(You probably don't have to, I just know sometimes one of these boxes fixes it and I don't know which)
Click on the Database tab.
Click on Import Modules
Click on "Import" under User Files.
Click on "Usernotes"
After that, your maps for almost every zone should be populated by dots and lines, detailing you on what to do. If they don't, repeat all of that. If they still don't, go to Options and click on "Show All" next to usernotes. If they still don't, turn off any mods that affect your map(like Cartographer) and see if it shows up. If they still don't, http://www.ageofrebirth.com/VinceSt...ads/MetaMap.rar is my metamap as it is currently installed on my computer, so I know for certain that works. To install it you need to do the following.
Delete everything regarding metamap(again) and put all the folders+files in them into your InterfaceAddons folder.
Put all the single files(ones that aren't in folders) that are present when you first open the .rar into your WTFAccountAccountNameSavedVariables folder.
If for some reason you're STILL having problems, log into your game and go down your addons list and one-by-one disable them and see which one is ****ing up your game. I've done a clean, no-addon check on my end and it works perfectly fine without any enabled(and with all of them), so if something is wrong after going through all that work, another mod is ****ing with your install and there's nothing I(or anyone else, really) can do about that.
Once you've got it working, open up your map and choose a zone (it begins with the Barrens). You'll see dots everywhere connected by lines. These are the waypoints. Hover over the dots for a descripton of what to do. There's also a little side-bar with lots of descriptive text on it. Ignore this at all costs. It is the devil's work.
To turn the nasty evil sidebar off:Right-click the question mark at the top of your map next to the options button.
"Actually, I like that side list of notes! It's cool, like an at-a-glance step by step thing!"
NO NO NO. I didn't even know that thing existed until I was halfway through terokkar forest. It is horribly out of order and from what I can gather there is no way to put it in order after the dots are made. The list either sorts alphabetically(useless) or by when dots were added. After i'm done with a circuit I go back and delete dots, add new ones and all kinds of shit for all the circuits up until that point in an attempt to optimize the circuits. That puts that sorted list all ****ed up, don't use it. Really, don't.
For some reason Hellfire Peninsula doesn't work. The rest of Outland does. I'm also not clear on whether you're supposed to start HFP immediately, from level 58, or whether you're meant to grind to 60 first.
Can all classes use it?
Well, I play a Warlock, so all I have to do is blink and dozens of mobs drop dead at my feet. But the guide is supposedly designed for all sorts of characters. Occasionally you'll be told to take on a named mob 3-4 levels higher than you. But generally, nothing in the guide is outlandishly hard. The author has apparently had it tested with every class except a hunter, and I doubt they'd have much trouble.
The guide is designed to work with zero rested XP, so any you do get is a bonus. There are no instance runs involved, as far as I can see, although it does (very) occasionally recommend one as a possible alternative to grinding. And there's very little grinding.
Sorry for the wall of text. But it's definitely worth trying out if you're trying to level quickly.
EDIT: Adding a picture of how it looks like:
