I literally found mmowned.com and joined today, so this is my first post, hope you enjoy!
So we've all been there.
Your casting that last heal thats going to win you the battle....
BAM, counterspell in your face. :yuck:
So how do you fix it?
Make them waste it, by casting something that looks like a heal, or looks like a spell when its really something useless.
For a druid:
Starfire- If you are casting off a starfire, and you dont want to get CS'd, try casting Teleport: Moonglade for about a half a second, the mage, not wanting to get hit with that huge starfire will CS the Teleport, not your starfire.
Healing Touch: This is an old one, but try casting your hearthstone right before you want to cast your heal, if the mage CS's you, your free to heal
For a warlock:
Fear- Want to get that last fear/drain life off so you can survive? Try casting Summon Imp to get them to CS you.
For a shaman:
Lightning Spells- Cast ghostwolf real fast, and if the Mage is CS happy, he'll most likely CS the ghostwolf.
Heals: Same thing as applies to druids, pop a quick hearthstone.
Now, say you have some guy that is totally cool and has an awesome mod that tells him really big on his screen what you are casting, example:
STARFIRE INC
Of course he wont CS your Teleport Moonglade, he'll think your an idiot and fire blast your face. So heres what to do if you have a person thats too smart to follow those old tricks.
Start casting whatever spell you want to cast, and about a split second afterwards, step backwards, its easy, and it works if you time it right, dont stay too long or the CS will hit you, dont step back too soon or the mage won't use it.
These are not 100%, and many times depend on how smart/quick the mage is, but with some practice, and any help from lag, you'll never get hit with a killer CS again.
