PVP-The Paladin

Well this is my first shot at a serious guide hopefully it will help some people out there this guide has to with little tricks ive picked up while pvping as a paladin as well as strategies ive come up with to fight every class.

Talents:As far as talents go the best way for a paladin to go in my opinion is all ret with a few in holy for divine intelect and strength. You could also go pure holy or mix it up I like retribution because since 2.0 we got crusader strike which helps alot not to mention repentance which is a life saver

Gear:If you decide to go ret i recomend getting as much strength and stam as possible int and +healing wont help you do damage, Also if you go ret the best weapon to use is a two-handed since it will increase your crusader strike damage significantly. If you go holy stick with Intelect Spirit and +healing.\

Stretegies on each class:

Mage: My suggestion when fighting a mage is to not make yourself as visible as you would like to, come from behind and do not instantly attack because the mage will frost nova then your in trouble instead go behind him and use repentance (ret tree spell) which will stun him for 6 seconds but is broken with damage now the trick is to face where the mage is facing because every mage blinks when stuned and goes about 15 yards so run where he is facing then cast seal of the crusader on yourself(increases attacks speed and power) and catch him when he blinks use hammer of justice to hold him still and crusader strike him this combined with seal of the crusader will melt his health away usually within the 6 seconds that he is stunned.

Warlock: the all feared dots trust me there not that bad once u get to know them in order to fight a lock you need to have your insignia of the alliance ready otherwise it gets alot harder when he fears you, my favorite way to aproach a lock is from the side once again and pound in 1-2 crusader strikes by the time thats done he should have alot of dots on you and have you down pretty good if hes a decent lock, the trick is to bubble it removes all of the dots from you rite after you bubble use seal of the crusader , then repentence him and heal yourself 1 time thats about all the time your have for it , then just crusader strike him occasionaly cleansing yourself if your running low on health there hard but not immpossible.

Priest: priests in my book are the easiest class to fight in pvp simply going over to one and hammer of justicing him and normal attacks with seal of the crusader usually get them down .

Druid: basicly you fight them like the class they turn into for bear look at warrior , cat look at rogue , and resto look at priest.

Hunter: ok i hate hunters and they are very difficult to fight since all of the instant cast shots they have with the pet usually the hunter will be the one engaging you in combat so youll need to move fast ignore the pet ALWAYS i cant stress that enough use repentance on him for the 6 second stun run up to him as your running seal of crusader on yourself and then judge him with it this will increase your holy damage then cast seal of crusader again , use one crusader strike which with a two-hander should be doing about 400 plus your normal weapon damage and hammer of justice him and keep going if he has alot of health as a hunter you may need to use divine shield which isnt the end of the world.

Rogue: another class i despise pvping against this fight is much different then any other class so pay attention the rougue will most likely attempt to stun lock you eventually youll get out after losing a nice chunk of health(or u can bubble to break stun) as soon as you hit him once hes going to vanish yes 99% of the time they do use concecrate since damage breaks stealth when he walks into it it will break enabling you too get off some quick crusader strikes if you need to at this point which you most likely will use repentance and heal yourself quick then go back in keep in mind this whole fight you should have seal of justice on(chance to stun your enemy for two seconds) 2 seconds can actually save you it has many times for me once hes low on health around 1000-1500 its safe to hammer of justice holding him in place allowing you to finish him off.

Shaman: shaman for the most part that ive ran into are usually in the healing role so treat them as tho they where a priest but keep your eyes open because if ran into some shaman that do nasty dps keep in mind seal of the crusader thats the only advice i have for shaman

Warrior: this is going to take a while the fight that is warriors have massive amounts of health and are capable of putting out lots of dps as soon as the fight starts hammer of justice him yes its ok to do rite at the start , seal of crusader then use judgement on him cast seal of the crusader on yourself again(this will increase ur damage done by holy spells*crusader strike* and your over all attack speed and attack power) thus giving you a nice damage boost while fighting hes going to most likely switch into berserker increases his crit chance by three because as a paladin we can heal the downside for him is it increases damage done to him by 10%(even if he doesnt switch its still ok) keep in mind warriors have execute ability once your below 20% health so make sure you repentance him and heal as you get close to that mark he should be at about half health you too with the heal you just did keep fighting as he will always out dps you wait for you to get to 25% health and divine shield heal twice and go back to working him and he should be down not a pretty fight but all is fair in war.


Buffing: buffing is very important always have devotion aura on to increase your armor since without a shield youll be much more vulnerable it also helps the party members in your area 700 extra armor to a cloth wearer is great. Remmber to keep yourself with blessing of might along with rogues warriors and druids(most druids are speced for bear or cat in pvp) blessing of wisdom on everything with mana o and just a tip dont use your greater blessings the stones might seem cheap but when you go through 200 of the in alterac valley youll b down a gold or so plus usually they die before the 15 mins is up.
