Hey, this is my second post so be paitent with me :yuck:
This is a short guide on the gold making opportunitys in AQ20 (Silithus) World Bosses and Zul'Gurub at level 70.
If this is a repost, I am sorry.
--AQ20--
I was able to clear AQ20 with this setup (All equiped Teir 5+) Druid tanking, 1 Mage, 1 Rogue and Shaman Healing. I'm sure it can be cleared with a different setup and less equiped gear as it was a cake walk. The complete clear including the majority of the trash took us just over 2 hours.
Now on to the gold side. As the majority of you know, im sure, AQ20 has 6 bosses. Kurinnaxx, General Rajaxx, Moam, Ossirian the Unscarred, Buru the Gorger and Ayamiss the Hunter. At 60 AQ20 was for the loot yeah? Well, at 70 it's a gold mine. All the bosses drop level 60 skill learning books (That's class skills) and they drop up to 3 books per boss kill depending on the boss, if I remember correctly. These books vendor for 10g per.
So with 6 boss kills you can get up to 18 books, at least 12. That works out 180g-120g not including trash and other boss drops that can be vendored or whatever else you want to.
Now you might be thinking that it's all well and good that the bosses are easy and they're is a fair amount of gold to be made, but, what about all that horrible trash!?
Well at 70, with a mage in your group with a solid tank (Druid tank works perfectly) you can pull HUGE groups and just AoE them down. Also some trash can be completely avoided :yuck:
--Zul'Gurub--
Now Zul'Gurub in my personal veiw isn't as good for say the AQ20 gold making scheme but it still has money potential. The first thing you must do is -EMPTY YOUR BAGS- With just a Tank (Druid is ideal), Mage (Max spell damage, frost spec) and a healer (Shaman, Earth Shield tanking and itterupting heals with Earth Shock) you can clear the majority of Zul'Gurub (Missing out Hakkar, Jin'do, Tiger and maybe Panther depending on your gear and skills) You can reach and down Venoxsis within 20 mins, dropping up to 50g and venderable epics/blues. You'll be able to reach bat within 10-15 mins after that depending on your mage's spell damage and down her after 10 mins max of battle, dropping up to 60g + epics/blues. From there spider will take a rough 30 mins or so, including all trash spiders (Pick up all spider loot, vendors for huge prices) and the boss itself will take about 12 mins. And finally the raptor guy, the key to this fight is to nuke the raptor as fast as possible, and hope your healer is good enougth to out heal his 1 min enrage or your tank is capable of taking his hits (Was hitting my Druid tank for roughly 3k per 3/s so was easyly out healed) He'll drop up to 80g and likely epics tht vendor for up to 7g and a few blues, and the legendary idols!
Panther and Edge of Madness are aparantly do-able at 70 in a party of 3, but, we didn't etempt the Edge and we had the issue of oomness of the mage and the healer tanking on the Panther. If you have seen any videos or something along thoughs line about this please post it!
--Azuregos--
Easy peasy, his death in a party of 2 will take about 30 mins tops. That's with a Druid tanking and Shaman healing. If you're tanking make sure he faces away from the healer at all times and if you're healing make sure you conserve you mana and stay out of storms. One thing I've noticed great for this fight as a Shaman with all the level 50 mobs way pointing round the local area, if you tag one just keep Water Shield up, You'll very rarely go under 20% mana (I have 250mp/5s while casting btw, to give you a faint idea) The fight as a whole is VERY easy and strongly suggested to try. Dropping up to a reported 220g, Reported 5 epics (weapons possible) ALOT of blues (Rare plans oftenly) and ALOT of greens including the gem bag with the pre-TBC gems. I've made alone off one Azuregos kill 700g, it's well worth it. Respawn time on Azuregos is about 3 days or so, I'm not totally sure on that, post if you know
--Onyxia--
Everyone knows this one, Onyxia. Must be attuned to enter, no fire resistance needed at 70. Reported to be possible 2 man, that's a Holy Priest and a DPS Paladin (LOL) but I've only ever ahieved 3 man (Shaman, Druid, Warlock) It is a fairly simple fight just keep to the same tatics to say if it was 40 man, be careful on the mana and keep EVERYONE at 100% at all times. She'll be dead after roughly 30 mins, known to go on for up to 1 hour as 3 man depending on gear. Dropping up to a reported 250g, alot of epics, alot of blues/greens and the gem bag. Also the 18 slot bag, I'm still using four of them6):
Going to post more on the green dragons once I work a way around the ****ing horrible debuff's
Hope you've found my post useful, enjoy!
