With account-wide transmog coming in Legion, people will want to get their hands on some nice, rare items to complete their collections. Sadly for them - and fortunately for you - there are a number of items in the game which have been removed throughout the history of World of Warcraft, and people wanting to complete their collection will have to find them somewhere.

If you've got alts, a guild bank or three where you've hoarded your loot over the years or you just have a collection of BoE unobtainable items waiting for the right moment to sell, here's a list of items to look out for!

Speaking of crafting patterns, there are a couple of materials out there that can be used to craft items with unique appearances, but those materials are no longer obtainable. You should check if you have any of these, because they can be worth the world to the right buyers.

i will be checking my vanilla mage for some of those tailoring ones. Hopefully I can make some mulah! I think i had the archmage belt !

In actual Legion alpha build you can:

1) transmog grey/white and green/blue items without stats, many items have white/grey or no stats version. it seem only miscellaneous weapons cant be transmog (old brewfest steins for example).

2) unlock Appearance/Colour from one item if you have another armor type version with same Appearance AND Colour. Example: you dont have one unique mail gauntlets but you have another plate gauntlets with same Appearance/Colour, then you can unlock that item in your mail and plate characters with the plate version only.

Two item examples with diferent armor types and same appearance/colour:


Storm Gauntlets (mail version) and Vanguard Gauntlets (plate version), you only need one version for unlock appearance for both mail/plate characters.


Expert Goldminer's Helmet (leather version) and 3 another versions (1 mail and 2 clothes), you can unlock appearance on all cloth/leather/mail characters with one item. Leather version is Unobtainable and very expensive (people wasting 150k-200k on leather version lol)

Sadly I have Walking Boots in one lvl 10 alt bank but that boots have 2 look like grey items
