Easy level 10 in 10 minutes (human w/ looms)

The point of this guide is that the mobs you kill will respawn instantly and you don't have to waste time running around or trying to realm hop.

This guide is for getting a human to lvl 10 as quickly as possible. You might want to do this so you can choose a spec and make your character somewhat interesting with those extra couple abilities, and also to be able to queue for BGs. Personally I hate those starter quests and I don't want to drive all over Elwynn to kill rares that might not even be up.

To do this you want full heirlooms. When you make your lvl 1 human character head straight out of the starter zone and go to the island on Crystal Lake, the pond north of Goldshire:
(If you're lucky you will bump into the rare wolf 'Lamepaw' on the way so kill him for some good xp)



Now just start killing the murlocs. Pull all the murlocs on the island and kill them. The trick is that the murlocs respawn nearly instantly and probably faster than you can keep killing them:



I found that if I stood still in the middle of the island as indicated on the map it might take a couple of seconds for any murlocs to respawn, but by strafing from one end of the small island to the other I could get the murlocs to respawn non stop. (Could just be my perception- I didn't do any measurements. Give it a go and see what you find)

Once you hit lvl 3 or 4 you will be 1 shotting these murlocs. You will be killing them constantly and dinging every minute or so, and after 10 minutes you can be lvl 10:



I've done this with with hunter, priest, rogue and paladin and it worked great. As might be expected ranged classes are quicker but the murloc spawn points are all pretty close together anyway so melee classes are fine. At lvl 10 the murlocs are still yellow so you can keep killing them I guess... but I find lvl 10 is a reasonable point to stop.

If you go to the position on the map in the first image, you will see there are two small islands there. It is not necessary at all to cross between the islands. Stay on the westernmost island and kill and strafe away.

Edit: I should have added, these murlocs pose no danger to you whatsoever if you are fully loomed so don't worry about pulling them all

thx for the guide but the amount of time it takes to get to level 10 now a days is so short that i dunno if its worth ever creating a guide for. I mean u can hit level 5-6 just by killing the wolfs in northshire in less then 5 mins. and then turn in the quests for doing so and probably hit level 8 by 10 minutes.

Meh, the way you talk about is potentially level 8 in 10 minutes, this is a surefire way to hit 10. And this takes you straight into westfall which is nice

I was going to concede your point bboy, like I said maybe its not for everyone and not many people will have an interest in getting to lvl 10 as its so trivial. But for me, those first 10 levels for the 500th time are really horrible.

I decided to test what you said for myself anyway. I killed the wolves in northshire but ran out of wolves to kill pretty fast, so I started killing everything else. It took 15 minutes of killing orcs without even looting once on a hunter to reach lvl 8. For every other class that cant run and shoot its going to take even longer. Now I could have been lvl 10 five minutes ago by killing murlocs and I wouldnt have had to run in big circles non stop. I appreciate your reply but its not really helpful for people who want to get to lvl 10 asap

If you want to get to lvl 10 fast then go to the murlocs. Its quicker and you are on a tiny island killing murlocs with no hassle. Its what I'm going to do everytime I make a new human character for sure

Edit: thanks for your input phantom. Getting to Westfall 15 minutes after choosing your character name is pretty ok right? And if you just want to play lvl 10-19 BGs you can do so in 10 minutes with whatever human-capable class you want

You can do this as a tauren also, as soon as you start your tauren travel to the pig pen for this quest:

Feed of Evil - Quest - World of Warcraft

and you can just turn in circles nuking ever spawning boars, its what i do when i fancy a few low level bgs.
