I myself have done many wall jumps in my day, so I am going to share with you the secret to doing it.
The Race: When wall jumping your class can make a difference in how well you can wall jump. I am going to rate classes based on ease of jumping first.
The Nightelf: Uber Easy
This is going to be your best choice starting off, there height and flips they do create an easy jump race
The Human: Easy
As for as humans go, there height is ideal for jumping, though not the best.
The Dwarfe: challenge
These little men are stout and not a very good choice for wall jumping.
The Gnome: basically impossible
I am an expert at wall jumping and I can still not jump using gnomes. They are short and stupid, don't roll one ever!! Err- wall jump on them.
The Drainie(not sure on spelling): extremly difficult:
When it comes to drainies and wall jumping, it is preticulary difficult. Dont try unless your really really good.
The Buttons and Angles of Wall jumping:
-Different Key combinations:
1: When it comes to wall jumping there are many different variations you can use. I have developed a way to jump very preciesly. When you jump press Space then once you get into the air press, both mouse buttons simutaniously. If preformed correctly your toon will move half a full jump foward. Similar to pressing the walk button and jumping, but you remove the hassle of pressing the "/" over and over again.
2: As I mentioned above and you can press the "/" button on the number pad walking slowely and jumping(Space Bar). This way is affective but time consuming.
3: The Shaft key is a good way of wall jumping only for certain walls. it if preticulary good for steep jumps. Only for the expert of wall jumpers.
-Angles of jumping
1: There is only one good angle for wall jumping. When you stand at the wall you wish to jump stand 45 degres left or right. Adjust your view to be parelell with your toon, and jump with either of the combinations listed above.
Jumping without failing (too much)
-Tips
1: The most helpfull tip on wall jumping ive ever had is to not move while on the step. When you move it reset it. So dont adjust your angle, or camera, or anything.
2: Move quickly, dont ever stop to look around on a jump, because you will most likely fall.
3: Find a good step. When you wall jump, you have to look for a good "stair". A good stair consist of jumping and landing on the next step as soon as you reach the height of the jump. Therefor making your jump go higher, instead of farther.
Thanks for reading my guide, the ultimate thing to wall jumping is practice. Hope all this information helps.
