Raise your weapon skill

I've seen many posts on this but I have never seen it mention what I do. I have read over and over about the rats and then in low level starting areas, but for characters that can solo DM for Alliance or WC for Horde, or even have a high level run you if you are not able to solo it, why not just do that. I'm a 60 pally and just switched to 1H sword after using 2H the whole game so far. I equipped a shield and went into deadmines and at the end, which only took like 20 min max, I was well over 200 skill for 1H sword, plus you get all the drops in there where as the rats and starting areas really don't give you anything. In a 20 min run of DM I not only raised my weapon skill but made about 10G from selling everything I looted. Sure the first handful of kills relied mainly on Consecration or Holy Shield for damage, but it raised so quickly, why bother in areas where you don't get some kind of reward for doing it. Sorry for the wall of text.

Mainly directed to 65+ But you could always just go to Shadow lab's entrance and attack the mobs as the lower city guards kill them >_>

This actually makes a LOT more sense than most of the other weapon skill threads i have seen.

or since your a pally you could just find some weak level 50 monsters and kill them, and you can heal yourself to

This one sucks, better to go for like 60 mobs and kill them because they will survive longer,,, they have more hp and so on

This might be common knowledge to a few but I found if you have a Warlock Friend, and need to raise weapon skill, get the Lock to banish a demon around or slightly higher than you are, then bash away, 1 skill point every hit and no loss to health.
