I will show you a good spot for Raw Riverbeast Meat. Wowhead link

According to wowhead the average AH buyout price is 30 gold. This can vary on different servers, but on my server its 30 gold per unit. The location and mob we are going to use is also recommended by the user Eaglecreek49 in the comments.

The mob we will farm is Stoneshamble Basilisk

This spot is great for Raw Riverbeast meat. There are plenty of mobs which has an 36% average drop chance. The mobs only have 23k hp which make them basically onehit kills. The only downside is the giant elite walking around in the water from time to time. He is only lvl 93 though so he wont aggro easily.

When you have cleared all the mobs go to your dungeon finder and select Premade groups. Click custom or quest and find a group that is doing Shattrath daily on another realm. When you get invited you will phase into their realm which will reset all mobs for you. When you are finished on their realm simply leave that group to phase back to your own realm or find another group on another realm.

Nice.. I was thinking about making a guide for these aswell but now I don't have to They are only 10g on my realm but global average is as you say around 30gold.

I went to get some of these to finish off lvling my cooking. I got 40 of them in no time. What I also noticed is they kind of spawn pretty quick so if you're going around that small lake you will always find some without using the Premade Group tool. Great guide, wish could give rep

Using the Premade Group Tool I had these spawned all the time and got about 110 meats in just under one hour. They sell for over 30g on my server.

How is it fixed? I've been farming this place with the clefthoof at the mountain hill side and I still net 4k+ on ravencrest each hour.

Can you please give a loc where you mean? I was just farming the basilisk killed around 40 and didn't get 1 meat

edit: i think i found where you mean, south most gorgrond but i only seem to find 4 riverbeasts down there on slow spawn timers, is there another location?

I flew around and farmed at every location. They all have really poor spawn timers and low numbers except one. If you go to Nagrand and farm Wetland Riverbeast they have a high drop rate for meat, and they are large in numbers. I would run around and kill all the non-elite ones (10+) then go kill an elite while I waited for respawn.

According to several people on these forums blizzard have nerfed the meat droprate from these mobs.. I haven't confirmed it, can't try it now but there are reports of low amount of meat
