Sound advice, but doesn't fit. Mind you, most of the players problem right now is sitting in a queue and not being able to play.

Turn on click-to-move and click somewhere inside the garrison, so your character keeps running to that spot. You get teleported out every time, but it should keep running... now, just go have something to drink, go to the toilet, whatever.. it should work. It worked for me every time.

Sorry, I misread, you're trying to get out.
Did you try starting another WoW window and logging into the account that's already online? When the loading fails, it should teleport you to hearthstone location.
