[Rogues] Obtain the Survivor's Bag of Secrets

Here is the Survivors Bag of Coins : Survivor's Bag of Coins - Item - World of Warcraft

The item itself is interesting and does exactly as it says "Throw one of the coins to the ground, propelling yourself in the opposite direction.". The propulsion is about 50-100 yards in a high arc. This could have great exploration potential.
It currently does not work in Pandaria, inside or in combat. I do not know if it works in BGs.

To obtain said item follow these steps:
1) Be a rogue
2) Have both Glyphs of Detection and Glyph of Disguise
3) Head to Ravenholdt in Hillsbrad Foothills (70.6, 47.8 )
4) Find Reislek's Ghost on a hill just a little way south of the manor (70.5, 50.6)
5) Pickpocket him with the Glyph of Disguise - this will make you look like him.
6) Head inside Ravenholdt Manor and go down stairs
7) Use Detection (Given by Glyph of Detection)
8 ) A ghost will appear underneath the stairs named Orsur
9) Talk to him and he will give you said item

To use the item you need to have the item in your bags, and you need to pickpocket NPC's to gain buff stacks in order to use it.

When using it, if you want to shoot forwards throw a coin behind you. If you want to shoot backwards, throw the coin in front of you

Awesome find. Tested it instantly

1. you cant use it infight
2. you can cast while flying , so you can do walljumps with it (cast against the wall you're about to hit). This allows some really cool climbing

also sure as hell repped you. Best rogue thing in a long while

Something of interest to explorers... you CAN use this item while your Goblin Glider is active. Have fun!

I believe you can only use it in areas where you can use a flying mount. Youd also need mobs to pickpocket in the zone as charges drop on loading screens.

Additionally to beeing a ranged class rogue is now also permaflying :P


Pickpocket humanoids to get "coins"
Pickpocketing gives 1-4 coins (after a short delay)
Coins are stored as a buff with stacks (stacks up to 50)
Coins (stacks) are lost on loading screens

Usable on every continent
Usable while mounted without dismounting (ground and flying)
"Can only use outside"
Not usable in dungeons or raids
Not usable in battlegrounds or arenas
Not usable on Isle of Thunder or Isle of Giants
Usable while in a vehicle, however it has no effect

Ground target circle has a 60 yard range
Can be chained while in midair
Breaks stealth
Can be used while using Goblin Glider to gain more height and glide longer distances + uphill
Resets jump height (can be used to prevent fall damage) however you will still take fall damage if you fall far enough after using
Jump angle is the same every time (~45 degrees) regardless of where the coin is thrown (i.e. cannot be used to jump directly upward)
Usable while on a flight path; propels the taxi a short distance, however it will quickly snap back to it's intended path and doesn't do anything other than be amusing
Assuming there is no level requirement, this would be very useful for a low-level character without the ability to fly in an area
