I've begun the process. This is the raw data from my server, as if I were to buy all the materials needed from the AH (granted they have it at the lowest prices)

This looks interesting but I generated a tailor pack and ended up with a cost of 12k+
I did my own calculations 2 days ago and was at 7k.
Problem with your link is that it includes things like vials (alch) and threads (tailor) for instance which I don't think people usually include when they sell a kit.

Yeah, that beta software is kinda buggy. I'm going off raw numbers using wow-professions. So far it's within a 500g-800g ballpark each time.

Really neat. I need to get into spreadsheets, because simple notepad documents are retarded hehe.
I quick thing I would change is when wow profs suggests several items for eg 20 Eternal Life or Fire or Shadow, put each eternal on a separate line and have people fill in prices for each and see which is cheapest

That's not a horrible idea, i kind of went with which one was cheapest, but sure that could work too

Yeah I guessed, but usually you won't have all of them on ah if you don't wanna farm those pesky items you need for certain kits. So you'd buy all cheap ones, them get the second cheapest (thus each item needing their own line in the spreadsheet)

All you'd have to do is replace the item name in Column F, it does a VLOOKUP on the item name and grabs the price

I see. I suck at excel, but how do I change the data it pulls from if I'm on a diff server?

I'll update the guide later to show this, but file -> copy spreadsheet -> create your own

then at the very bottom click the TUJ Data tab, that will show my server.

Head to TheUndermineJournal - sign up, and download your server's CSV

drop it into that tab on the spreadsheet, and delete the Item ID column
