Hey Logosh12
I'm just gonna be very brief about this.
Affliction lock is by far the best spec for arenas when you get into high rating! But it is also the one with most skill requirement, and you'll need BiS gear before you can pump out good damage
When it comes to Demonology and Destro, they are both pretty much equally good, and by far the best to play if you're new to the class or have bad gear. they are both easy to play and fun. works both in arenas and BGs
Hope this helped
I disagree, by far.
Although I agree that affliction is viable at an extremely high rating I also believe that destro is equally as viable.
Affliction thrives in comps where dots are the main source of damage such as LSD1 and 2 - Thats Lock Shammy Druid with either driud or shammy healing as the dispel protection provided by unstable affliction is almost essential.
Then if you play with classes such as a Mage in setups such as MLD/MLS destro can be very, very good against some comps as the Mage can hit a target to around 50% then if you follow up with 1 Chaos bolt that drops the target below 20% and then shadowburn - That target is probably dead.
My advice? Learn to play both specs, play what works best with your play style and your partners, but don't limit yourself.
I gotta disagree there Shameless
Affliction lock works with mages / ele shamans / warriors / rogues and is better than destro because it is just too easy to lock down destro damage. the affliction lock however got all instant casts and spreads his damage all around on the targets, creating spread damage and making every single target a viable target! then it's up to the other player with the burst to the swapping, he can basicly swap to everything as they are all taking a good amount of damage from the lock, so whenever someone is positioning himself badly, or the guy they are going for gets out of the way, they can simply swap to another target with DOTs that are already rolling on![]()
I also have to disagree with Shameless, sure, maybe sub 2k rating Destro is good but against competent players it is very easy to counter.
