First of all, you're going to need a strong flying pet. The pets we will be killing are mainly aquatic, and their health ranges from 860 to 1200+ if rare. The ideal choice would be a guardian cub, for his Reckless strike ability which will 2-shot all but the hardiest or luckiest of pets we shall encounter. There is a small chance that the third pet we face will not be aquatic, but flying instead. Once again the guardian cub comes to our aid with his magic attack - onyx bite. For those of you who do not have a guardian cub or do not wish to put in the effort to level one just yet, the moths all over the vale and in krassarang wilds are very strong to use aswell.
What you're going to be doing once you've got your flying pet ready to rumble and your optional safari hat sitting firmly on top of your head is moving towards the lake south of the mogu'shan palace. There are two places where you will be killing pets. The first is near a small well construction, also near the legendary pandaren tamer Aki the Chosen. The pets you are looking to face are eternal striders and frogs. The great thing about eternal striders is that they wil either open with a heal or a non-damaging sleep ability. They might also open with pump but that will not do damage on the first turn. Therefore, you can put out any lowlevel pet first, have him attack once, and switch to your flying pet killing machine.
Should you face a frog first, i recommend to use a lowlevel pet of atleast lvl 6, to not die in one turn and get 0 xp.
Now, should you have competition on this spot (or murder it all before respawn happens) there's another bunch of eternal striders to the west of this very same lake. In the event that this TOO is occupied, you can move up to the small lake near the golden pagode, where the tidehunter rare mob resides. This might be risky on a PvP server though.
The experienced battlers amongst you may say: Fearfart, there are places with many more striders to be killed, such as the daily questing lake-spot for the golden lotus. To this I say that you are correct, but these spots are far away from the factional shrines, far away from a stable master and subject to high traffic and phasing.
The results of farming these spots with a guardian cub have been the following:
Avg xp per hour: 4 million, not rested at level 88 and 89.
3 flawless battle stones over a course of 5 hours (these sell for 10k on my realm)
2 flawless aquatic stones (BoP)
1 flawless flying stone (BoP)
8 new level 25 pets
