While this may be "common sense" for some, I still come across people that are unaware of how to reset as boss fight as a monk, so thought I'd share.
Basically, most boss encounters have a "leash" point, where they will despawn/reset the encounter if they travel outside the encounter area.
Step 1 : Place your Transcendence spirit outside of the leash point
Step 2 : Engage boss
Step 3 : When you wish to reset the encounter, taunt the boss and Transcendence : Transfer to your spirit
My guild used this method to reset encounters such as Spirit Kings during progression. We'd pull the boss, find out it was the hard boss second, I'd taunt/reset the encounter. Doing this would save your raid from having to rez/rebuff, saving your precious food buffs + such.
You can Transfer through walls as it does not require line of sight. So it's especially useful on fights where there is a door in which you cannot escape the encounter area.
This can also be used while solo-farming to reset certain encounters much like a hunter's feign death or rogue vanish.
A current example would be farming for Battered Hilt, where you can place your spirit outside the door in HoR and reset the encounter without having to die + fly back.
Hope this helps my fellow monks!
