Great trick to buy items very cheap with a little luck :)!

Hello OwnedCore!

I recently found a good AH trick to buy items i want very cheap!

As you know many people use addons for AH to easy put their items on it!
These addons search the lowest price of the item you want to sell and they sell it cheaper!

So this is my trick!

I wanted to buy some Fool's Cap and the stack on my realm is about 160g.
I bought one stack and split it to 20 herbs,Then i put them in AH for 80 silver per herb.
A guy came and add some fool's cap in the AH with his addon and compared to my price from 160g per stack i bought them for 16g.

To sum up.
1)You buy the items you want!
2)You put them in AH for very low price.
3)If you are lucky a guy with an addon will come to sell the same item cheaper than you!
4)You buy it.
5)Save some money!

The only problem is if someone comes and buys out all your cheap items. You will have lost gold and the prices will go back up.

I've been thinking about this method too, but it seems too risky on a high populated realm tbh :/

When You are posting them 1 and 1, none have the time to sit and klick your maybe 60 auctions to buy them out. Or normally peoples won't do that, they'll just buy the 20 stacks, but when peoples post they don't look at the stack size, only the price/item.
Therefore you will probably don't lose anything as long as you are not undercutting on like blood spirits with 2k or something xD and the posters will still post for your price.(remember this is what normally happens and I don't guarantee anything)

On high pop realms it's risky...I tried it 5 times and 3/5 my items have been bought immediately....But the 2 successful times i took Fool's cap too cheap and made 40 Starlight Inks...so i made some profit!

The best way to do this is to visit theunderminejournal.com and find out who the top seller is for whatever you are wanting to snipe. Then add them to your friends list, and post the item(s) right after they log on. This is also a GREAT way to catch bots that recklessly use an ahbot.

Most of the auction addons also have a minimum threshold that the user inputs for that item. It will NOT undercut someone if that item they put up is below that threshold, instead it will post it at their fallback price...so chances are you will just get your herbs bought and lose money.

Only if they are configured correctly. I know ahbuddy has this option, but only if you edit the .xml file, and there are TONS of lazy botters that would just rather automate everything and undercut by 1c and sell it quickly, without setting the minimum buyout price correctly.

I have a few ppl I have identified as botters on my server, and do this quite regularly, either for personal use or simply to resell.

If you are using auctionator you can buy 60 stacks of 1 in less then 30sec!!! For someone who is using mats for his profession he wants the cheapest price....
