    World Event Gold-Making Tips

Hey guys, in this guide I will share some of my tips for making gold from the World Events in WoW, of which some only occur for a specific week- two weeks every year. Because of this, make sure to take advantage of this short time-window, as once the event ends, the price of these items will start rising in value. This guide will include money-making these events, including the Lunar Festival, Love is in the Air, Children's Week, Noblegarden, Midsummer Fire Festival, Hallow's End, and Winter's Veil,

    Lunar Festival-

There are two ways in which you can earn gold during the Lunar Festival. The first way, (+rep to Martin240 for this tip, http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...-festival.html) is to buy the item, Elune's Candle - Item - World of Warcraft, from the Lunar Vendor for 10 silver each. However, these items are unique, and only one can be in your inventory at one time. To get around this issue, use the portable mailbox, if you're an engineer, to quickly send them to an alt, or waste time flying back and forth in search of a mailbox. WoWhead lists these candles at a buyout price of 175 gold, 59 silver. Not bad for an investment of 10 silver each! (Make sure to sell these after the festival has ended, preferably a month after, since they only cost 10 silver.) Even so, these candles only offer a cosmetic ability, and so it depends what server you sell the candles on.

The second way to earn money during the Lunar Festival is to buy the companions, which cost 50 Coins of Ancestry. There are two companions you can buy from the Lunar Festival, and are called Lunar Lantern - Item - World of Warcraft, and the Festival Lantern - Item - World of Warcraft. What makes these companions so valuable is that the Lunar Lantern can only be bought from the Alliance vendor, and the Festival Lantern can only be bought from a Horde vendor. However, these companions are BoE, and are able to be sold on the Neutral AH, allowing an Alliance character to have both the Lunar and the Festival Lanterns. Because of this, the amount that the companions sell for over 5000g - 20000g, depending on which server you are playing on.

    Love is in the Air

Again, there are two ways to earn money during this event, the first being to sell the companion, the Truesilver Shafted Arrow - Item - World of Warcraft, which is bought from the Love is in the Air vendor for 40 love tokens. It is easily farmed, but the ratio of 7:1 causes it to sell for less, only about 600g per companion, but 8000g+ for the mount. Because of this, I advise to buy the mount, if possible, but for those who dont want to farm for the tokens too much, you could buy the companion instead.

The second way to earn money during this event is to buy the mount, Swift Lovebird - Item - World of Warcraft, again sold from the vendor, but for 270 love tokens, and sells for 8000g+. However, it takes at least 5 hours to farm this many charms, depending on where you farm, or if you have found an exploit or now which helps you farm them. (Light Watchers- Hotfixed) This is probably the World Event where you can probably make the most money, if you farm the mounts for the two weeks that the event happens. For example, if you farm for five hours a day, for five days during the event, you can earn five mounts, at a rate of 5000-8000g per mount, which totals out to approximately 25,000g - 40,000g from this holiday. However, this, again, is server dependent, and the mounts can sell for more or less depending on where you are located. Also, this method is easily bottable, just from a simple auto-click macro or bot, since you don't necessarily need to loot the enemies. Personally, I recommend to use the Throne of the Tides Elemental Gauntlet for your farming needs, mainly because, if not in a group, no one will be able to see if you're botting, since you're in an instance, and you dont need to move.

    Noblegarden

Not much to do this holiday, but you are able to make easy tips by creating female characters that other players are looking for, so that they can put the bunny ears on you, and finally finish their achievement. One snag for this method is that you have to level this character to 18.Even so, two of the most rare characters to find include female undead, and female dwarves. The only other way I can think of to make money on this event is to charge low level characters to escort them to the deserts required to plant the flowers, as there is no way a low level can reach those zones without someone helping them to clear the way.

    Children's Week

There are many ways to earn money during this holiday, This is a pretty good money-making holiday, especially if you are a cook that has done the cooking daily quests and earned your Delicious Chocolate Cake - Item - World of Warcraft recipe. The cakes sell for 70g+ on my server each, and the materials are not hard to gather. The easy money makers here are the desserts required for the Achievement, Bad Example - Achievement - World of Warcraft, which is also needed for the Meta-achievement. Red Velvet Cupcake, Dalaran Doughnut - Item - World of Warcraft, and Dalaran Brownie all can be purchased in Dalaran and sold on the auction house for a profit. Like always, you want to be one of the first to post these as posting earlier will make you more gold. The same Dessert Vendor in Dalaran also sells the Lovely Cake Slice - Item - World of Warcraft, which is created from the Lovely Cake. It is needed for the achievement.

    Midsummer Fire Festival

The money-makers here are in the form of the companions, which can sell from anywhere from 4000g - 10000g, depending on the server. These companions are the Ice Chip - Item - World of Warcraft, which creates the Frigid Frostling, and is found in the bag received when completing the holiday dungeon. The other pet is the Captured Flame - Item - World of Warcraft, which summons the Spirit of Summer, and is bought from the vendor for 350 Burning Blossoms. As you can probably guess, the Frigid Frostling will sell for more, as it is a rare drop from the bag, whereas the Captured Flame can be bought.

    Hallows End

There are two forms of profit that you can use to your advantage on this holiday. The first is to help players earn their achieve, The Masquerade - Achievement - World of Warcraft, by finding the wands necessary to complete this achievement, and posting in trade. (Credit goes to Mpidis- http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...ing-wands.html) As he states, this method is server dependent, and a single wand can sell from anywhere from 5g to 1000g.

The other method of obtaining profit during this holiday, is to, like the Midsummer Fire Festival, buy the companion from the vendor, Feline Familiar - Item - World of Warcraft, which can be bought for 150 Tricky Treats. WoWhead currently lists this companion at a price tag of 10,000g.

    Winter Veil

Winter Veil is the time for Leatherworkers and Tailors to make a profit, as well as those supplying the materials they will be using to make lots of gold. The Green Winter Clothes - Item - World of Warcraft, Red Winter Clothes - Item - World of Warcraft, and the Winter Boots - Item - World of Warcraft are all needed to complete the Winter Garb set for the Achievement. Crafting the boots can easily earn you a minimum of 25g each, and the clothes sell anywhere from 15g to 50g. Besides this, if you are not a tailorer, you could farm Wool Cloth - Item - World of Warcraft, and Runecloth - Item - World of Warcraft, which are some of the materials used to create these clothes.

Please comment, and give me critiques!
