In this post I will be dealing with the new ores in Mists of Pandaria and the ways how we can process them. Im going to cover Blacksmithing (I won't cover armor and weapons though, unless they can help getting Enchanting materials), Jewelcrafting, Mining, Alchemy and Enchanting.
The ores
The whole shuffle obviously starts with the ores. Mists of Pandaria introduces the following new ores:
Ghost Iron Ore, requires two to smelt one Ghost Iron Bar
Kyprarite, won't smelt into a bar and currently only seems to be for prospecting and engineering.
And two uncommon ores:
White Trillium Ore
Black Trillium Ore
Currently you need two of both uncommon ores to smelt a Trillium Bar, but you can also transmute it with 10 Ghost Iron Bar.
Jewelcrafting
Just like in every expansion, the ores are again prospectable. Kyprarite Ore requires a Jewelcrafting level of 550 to prospect, Ghost Iron Ore requires 500 and the Trillium Ores both require level 600 to prospect them. Ghost Iron Ore seems to be the Mists equivalent of [Obsidium Ore] and will likely give the most uncommon gems. Kyprarite Ore seems to be the equivalent of [Elementium Ore] and the Trillium Ores seems to be the equivalent of [Pyrite Ore] and will most likely give the highest amount of rare gems.
The uncommon gems are:
Lapis Lazuli (blue)
Alexandrite (green)
Tiger Opal (red/orange)
Roguestone (purple)
Pandarian Garnet (orange/red)
Sunstone (yellow)
And the rare gems are:
Primordial Ruby (Red)
River's Heart (Blue)
Wild Jade (Green)
Vermilion Onyx (Orange)
Imperial Amethyst (Purple)
Sun's Radiance (Yellow)
The meta gem is:
Primal Diamond
And there is a jeweler's only gem aswell, as always you will be able to put 2 of them in your gear:
Serpent's Eye
The stats on them seem bugged as a Serpent's Eye currently gives the same amount of stats a perfect uncommon one.
In this expansion we will also be able to transmute uncommon gems to rare gems, this will be covered under Alchemy.
Also as usual we will be able to cut gems:
Red gems can be cut into: Bold, Brilliant, Delicate, Flashing and Precise
Orange gems can be cut into: Adept, Artful, Champion, Crafty, Deadly, Deft, Fierce, Fine, Inscribed, Keen, Lucent, Polished, Potent, Reckless, Resolute, Resplendent, Skillful, Splendid, Stalwart, Tenuous, Wicked and Willful
Purple gems can be cut into: Accurate, Defender's, Etched, Glinting, Guardian's, Mysterious, Purified, Retaliating, Shifting, Sovereign, Timeless and Veiled.
Green gems can be cut into: Misty, Piercing, Lightning, Sensei's, Effulgent, Zen, Balanced, Vivid, Turbid, Energized, Forceful, Jagged, Nimble, Puissant, Radiant, Regal, Shattered and Steady
Blue gems can be cut into: Rigid, Stormy, Sparkling and Solid
Yellow gems can be cut into: Fractured, Mystic, Quick, Smooth and Subtle.
Meta gems can be cut into: Agile, Austere, Burning, Destructive, Effulgent, Ember, Enigmatic, Eternal, Fleet, Forlorn, Impassive, Powerful, Reverbarating and Revitalizing
It currently is hard to say if the red gems will be the best sellers again as according to this blogpost Blizzard is trying to make primary and secondary stats more equal. This will be reflected by the fact that Spirit will have an higher stat prio than Intellect for healers and that Orange/Purple/Green gems give primary and secondary stats with 1:2 ratio.
You will be able to acquire new cuts with a new Jewelcrafting research. The research will require Rare gems of the same colour to get a cut of the same colour. A Spirits of Harmony version without a cooldown is also avaible. As daily quests for Jewelcrafting are not on the Beta at this moment it is unknown if you will be able to get the recipes for rare cuts with tokens.
Uncommon gems can be cut again and now actually serve a purpose: Perfect cuts are back and give the same stats as the rare gems.
On the other hand we are seeing that it will less feasible to make jewelry with the uncommon gems. There currently is one ring and one neck of uncommon quality to be made: Ornate Band and Shadowfire Necklace. The Band requires 4 uncommon blue gems, 1 orange and 1 red and the Necklace requires 1 purple, 1 green and 1 red uncommon gem. Not really the gems you want to miss with the perfect cuts being so good.
We also have jewelry of rare quality again. They require one Jeweler's Setting, two rare gems or 6 uncommon gems and 6 Serpent's Eye (the new [Chimera's Eye]). These rings have an item level of 450 and that puts them below Heroic dungeon gear with ilvl 463.
Alchemy
Like noted above we can transmute uncommon gems into rare gems again in Mists of Pandaria. Currently a transmute of a rare gem of a specific colour requires one uncommon gem of the same colour and a Spirits of Harmony. It is likely that this is a nerf to transmuting as Spirits of Harmony seem to be rarer than herbs. The new meta gem, Primal Diamond, is transmuted 2 Wild Jade, 2 Vermilion Onyx and 2 Imperial Amethyst. So this gem is going to be a little more expensive than the Cataclysm equivalent. Alchemists are again able to transmute the best metals, this time it's called Living Steel, which either requires 3 Trillium Bar and a Spirits of Harmony or 6 Trillium Bar to craft.
Enchanting
Mists of Pandaria introduces new enchanting materials these are:
Spirit Dust
Mysterious Essence
Small Ethereal Shard
Ethereal Shard
Sha Crystal
This is nothing unusual and all materials have Cataclysm equivalents. There is a new twist though to these materials. You are able to materials in other materials. This is not only a shatter and a transform like Cataclysm, but you will be able to turn 5 Spirit Dust to 1 Mysterious Essence of which your require 5 to make an Ethereal Shard (the large ones) of which again you need 5 to create a Sha Crystal which has a daily cooldown. All conversions require you to have Enchanting and takes 1 second to perform.
So: 125 Spirit Dust -> 25 Mysterious Essence -> 5 Ethereal Shard -> 1 Sha Crystal. and 27 Spirit Dust <- 9 Mysterious Essence <- 3 Ethereal Shard <- 1 Sha Crystal.

Blacksmithing
Just like the other proffessions this will also have disenchantable uncommon items, but these are extra special as Blacksmithing will again be a way to get rid of excess ore. All the rare items seem to require one Spirit of Harmony which might again be a limiting factor. As all stats and qualities of most items are missing it is hard to say which items will be the best to disenchant. Blacksmiths will also be able to create Folded Ghost Iron, which seems to come with 3 additional quality levels: Quality Folded Ghost Iron, Masterfully Folded Ghost Iron and Perfect Folded Ghost Iron. It is unknown how you get the better quality ones, this might be proc based or you might need to combine multiple of the lower tier versions. It is also unknown how this is going to work with recipes containing them. Last but not least we get a new belt buckle called Living Steel Buckle and a new weapon chain called Living Steel Weapon Chain, both require 1 Living Steel and are likely more rare in MoP than their Cataclysm counterparts currently.
Engineering
With Engineering finally implemented in the Beta we can say that we got some fun stuff again for Engineering.
We can craft these Engineering materials:
Ghost Iron Bolts
High-Explosive Gunpowder
Tinker's Kit
Mists will introduce two new scopes: Mirror Scope and Lord Blastington's Scope of Doom. With these scopes we can craft guns on which you can then put these scopes (scopeception?) Long-Range Trillium Sniper and Big Game Hunter. We are also getting a new non-BoP pet to sell called: Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling. Last but not least we will be avaible to sell 2 new rocket mounts: Depleted Kyparium Rocket and Geosynchronous Worldspinner. The first seems to be made by Goblin Engineers and the latter by Gnomish Engineers.
One item requires some special attention: Mist-Piercing Goggles, a must have for every farmer, having these in your bags is enough to receive the benefit.
Conclusion
We are seeing a lot of changes to the shuffle as we know it. The link between Jewelcrafting and Enchanting seems to be destroyed as JCs will more likely go for perfect uncommons then for a little enchanting mats. This will likely mean that you will get your enchanting mats through disenchanting Blacksmithing greens. Alchemy is much unchanged and Engineering seems to have some fun stuff that we can sell.
