I am using the bot Pocketgnome for mac to locate the onyx eggs for me in Jade of Forest. The bot can scan anything in range of 250yard like in the picture above. And if you don't like botting and want to do it by hand you can just fly from mountain to mountain see if the onyx egg gets in the scan. And just the option move to egg or face node.

To start the egg hunting with pocket gnome. Click on objects in pocketgnome and set it to nodes only. When you done that use the filter and set it to container (all) to make it easier to read and avoid the wall of text.

For the people who want to bot this. The Onyx egg ID is 21495 add it to your pocketgnome and it will recognize it as a node and will hit it when it's in range.

Checked it out last night but shadowbot don't got that option like in mac. You can how ever enter an ID to the list to farm. Just did not see any route profiles on shadowbot. And would have been nice if the creators of shadowbot kept it like pocketgnome that you can make easy routes your self and let the bot scan the area for you that you can see your self what spawns and what not. You can always ask in shadowbot forum if a moderator wants to make route profile for the 5 mountains.

Hopefully one of the people of this site gets an idea to make a new program for windows. That only scans the area around you for 250yards or more so you can see all the eggs if they spawn. And with just memory reading so pretty safe

I think the repeatable quest with the onyx eggs has been removed due to farming exalted rep within 1 to 2 hours.

Just did it like 30 minutes ago on live servers so I dont think it was

I don't see that happening any time soon. You could do the same with Netherwing - Farm the eggs for a day then hand in For neutral -> Exalted

There seems to be a huge nerf to it.
